reeljuice is the creative mind of Sanif Olek.
Sanif has become well known for developing, producing and directing successful television content of various genres. He has collaborated with Singapore’s leading production agencies with works seen by regional broadcast audiences and multinational markets and clients.
He graduated from Singapore’s premier film school, The Department of Film, Sound & Video at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 1996. In 2001, he continued his film studies with great success at the highly reputed School of Media, Communication & Culture at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia, gaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Media.
Sanif has in his previous works demonstrated a capacity to excite his audiences with humor and move them with melancholia. His unique perspective makes his work more insightful and informative.
Additionally Sanif’s capacity as a content creator and director has consistently earned him numerous awards in television. His excellence in various television genres are highlighted when he recieved his 3rd 'Best Drama Series' and 2nd 'Best Director' awards with 1988... Segaris Sinar "Constellations". He recieved his 3rd 'Best Info-Ed Series' awards with Mentari "Ray of Hope". These awards were presented by MediaCorp TV12, Singapore.
Sanif has successfully served corporate clients namely UNESCO, Singapore Tourism Board, The National Museum of Singapore, Singapore Press Holdings and the Ministry of Community Development, Youth & Sports.
Beyond television Sanif is also making his mark as a filmmaker where his work has been well received at international film festivals in both hemispheres.
The short film, Lost Sole, the first of LOVE trilogy, was officially selected and screened in more than thirty international film festivals. It was in-competition in eight of these film festivals, where it received Best Film On Religion and Best Narrative Film at the International Festival of Short Films on Culture (Jaipur) and Rahmat International Shortfilm Festival (Iran), respectively. The second short, à la folie "like crazy" is gaining good momentum at festivals, while the third, Ameen, is in post-production.
Sanif is concurrently in-production for his debut film feature, Ramuan Rahasia "The Missing Ingredient".
